This 8 days (7 nights) safari will commence and finish in Arusha. You will see so many interesting things and infact you will as well visit different destinations like the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park. Per National Park you go to, you can be very sure that you will see animals that will interest you. It will be an unforgettable experience indeed.
You will have 1 night at Serena Mountain Village, 1 night at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, 2 nights at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, 2 nights at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and 1 night at Tarangire Lodge.

Tour itinerary for 8 days Tanzania in Lodges.

DAY 1: Arusha (Lake Duluti)

As you arrive at the Airport, you will be met by our safari guide/driver at Kilimanjaro Airport and from there he will transfer you to the Serena Mountain Village for your dinner and over night.

DAY 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara

On this day, you will have your morning breakfast as usual and then take a walk around Lake Manyara (Lake Dalute) but you have to make sure the residents do not find you roaming around their territory. You are expected to finish your walk by lunch time and so you will have it such that in the afternoon you depart for Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with clusters of picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makayuni you turn in direction North West and continue your African journey up through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant misty Lake Manyara. By the time you get there, it will be evening and so you will head straight to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti

You are expected to have your usual morning breakfast with packed lunch because you will have your lunch en-route. After that, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park but you will first visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. En-route, you can see some of the animals roaming around and others resting in tree shades. In this Park, the wildebeest and the zebras are the most common animals; you can not spend a minute without spotting at least one. Most of the cat family can be seen in the plains while the elephants are a bit scarce. There are other animals (endangered black rhinos which are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. All these animals you will see on your next day after arrival. So you will arrive and have a late lunch and after you will proceed for a game drive, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park

Because you slept anxiously waiting for this day, you will wake up in the morning to see animals waking up and getting out to look for what to eat this day. So immediately after your break fast, you will have a game drive but remember to carry packed lunch. You will then head in the Park to search for the animals some of which you were expecting to see and some others will catch you by surprise. Among the animals you will see, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Hyenas, Elephants, Zebras, Buffaloes, Antelopes will not miss out and many other animals. I also know that some of you are good birders so you will as well be able to spot out a few birds like Eagles, Flamingoes, duck, geese, and vultures are among the birds. After your morning session of the game drive, you will have lunch for about 30 minutes and then continue with the activity after your lunch. Other wise in the evening you will transfer back to the Lodge for your dinner and over night.

DAY 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

On this day, you will head to Ngorongoro for a full day crater tour. Remember that you are spending the whole day there so you are advised to carry picnic lunch with you. This Ngorongoro crater is 670 meters deep and surrounded with several animals some of which include the lions, elephants ,zebras, a small number of flamingoes, wildebeest, spotted hyena, grant’s, Thompson’s gazelle, cheaters and so many more. Because you will be tired, you will first rest for a while with lunch at Noitoktok springs picnic site. After your late lunch, you will some time to watch some birds until you are transferred back to Ngorongoro Serena Safari lodge for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater.

A safari highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its enormous size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It’s an awesome wildlife safari experience. You return to the lodge for lunch and then visit a Masai village.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

DAY 7: Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park

On this day, you will have your morning breakfast as usual and then head down to Ngorongoro crater. It is very interesting to get down here, Ngorongoro is indeed a natural wonder, an extinct Volcano that collapsed around 25 million years ago thus forming a vast super bowl where almost every game can be spotted. You will have views from the top of the crater, this is the most exciting angle to feel what nature is and in fact most tourists have promised to come back again. You will see animals like buffalos, Zebras, wildebeest, gazelle that depend on the open grasslands in the crater. As these animals graze, the predators are also in the corner waiting to get their share. Carnivores include; the black-manned lion, the leopard and hyena. You will see a soda lake which attracts countless water birds like flamingoes which is also a favorite place for carnivores to kill. Perhaps this is the reason why Ngorongoro is called the ‘’Garden of Eden’’. Because there is a lot to do here, you are always advised to carry packed lunch such that you eat enroute. Otherwise, in the evening, you will transfer to Tarangire as you game drive. Dinner and over night at Tarangire Serena Lodge .

DAY 8: Transfer to Arusha.

This is the last day of your safari. You will wake up in the morning and have your heavy breakfast as usual and then drive north east wards to Arusha. You will pass through Masai Steppe filled with many African tribal settlements, coffee and banana plantations. When you arrive, you will be provided with lunch followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport where you will wait for your departure flight from.
